Website Terms & Disclaimer
Effective October 26, 2026 · Version 2026-10-26
Purpose and scope
These Website Terms govern use of bsquaredaccounting.ca and the B² Accounting Group website, including its informational content, calculators and enquiry form. B² Accounting Group is referred to as “we” or “us.” Read these terms before using those features. The enquiry form requires express acceptance of these terms; merely browsing this site does not establish a professional engagement.
General information, not personalized advice
Website content and calculator outputs are general information for planning and discussion. They are not personalized accounting, tax, legal, investment or other professional advice. Your circumstances, applicable laws and available elections or credits may change the result. Obtain advice based on your complete circumstances before filing, paying tax, making a transaction or relying on a result. We do not undertake to monitor your situation through your use of this website.
No client relationship or deadline responsibility
Requesting a consultation, using the calculator, emailing us or submitting a form does not mean we have accepted you as a client, agreed to provide a service, accepted documents for filing, or undertaken a deadline. Services begin only after we expressly accept the engagement and a written engagement letter is agreed to by both parties. Until then, you remain responsible for your filings, payments, elections and other deadlines. Do not use the form for urgent or time-sensitive instructions.
Calculator limitations and result labels
The calculator is an annual employment-income estimate using selected rules and assumptions stated on its page. It does not prepare a return, validate RRSP or FHSA room, establish eligibility for credits, calculate tax already withheld, or determine a refund or balance owing. It is not payroll software. Data, law changes, rounding, exclusions and input errors can affect results.
The displayed “Estimated tax payable” is a combined estimate of income tax and employee CPP/QPP, EI and QPIP contributions. It is not an income-tax-only amount or the amount payable with a filed return. Take-home pay deducts those modeled amounts from salary. Savings contributions themselves are not deducted from take-home pay. Average deduction rate uses the combined amounts; marginal income tax rate is defined in the calculator assumptions.
Outputs are not a guarantee of savings, filing acceptance, assessment, loan approval or any other outcome. Review the assumptions and seek an individual calculation when your circumstances differ.
Enquiries, sensitive information and delivery
Provide accurate contact details and only the information reasonably needed to describe your enquiry. Do not send social insurance numbers, passwords, banking details, identity documents, tax returns or other sensitive financial records through the form. It is not a secure client document portal. Agree on a suitable document-transfer method with us after contact.
Messages may be delayed, rejected, filtered or affected by technical failures. An on-screen confirmation means the form provider accepted the submission; it does not confirm that we have reviewed it, accepted instructions or agreed to act. If you do not receive a reply, follow up by email. Do not assume that a deadline is being handled.
Permitted use and third-party services
Use this website lawfully. Do not introduce malware, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, submit unlawful or misleading material, or attempt to access another person’s information. Links to government resources or other third-party sites are for convenience. Their availability, content and privacy practices are outside our control. FormSubmit processes contact submissions; see our Privacy Notice.
Availability, warranties and limits
We aim to keep the website useful, but do not promise that its content or tools will be complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, website content and tools are provided as available without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses, including lost profit or lost opportunity, arising from use of or reliance on general website content or tools, or website interruptions. This provision concerns website use; it does not replace the terms of an agreed professional engagement.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, removes a duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits non-waivable consumer, privacy or other statutory rights. These terms do not constitute a blanket waiver of professional responsibility.
Content ownership
Website text, branding and design may be protected by intellectual-property rights. You may view the site and retain a copy for your own personal or internal business reference. Do not falsely represent our content as your own, remove ownership notices or imply an endorsement. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these website terms prospectively by posting a revised version and effective date. An existing written engagement is not amended solely by a website update. Subject to mandatory applicable law and non-waivable rights, these terms are governed by Ontario law and the applicable federal laws of Canada. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.
