Privacy Notice
Effective October 26, 2026 · Version 2026-10-26
Scope and contact
This notice describes the personal information handled through the B² Accounting Group website and enquiry form. It does not replace any engagement-specific privacy information or written agreement. Direct privacy questions, access or correction requests, withdrawal requests or complaints to bsquaredcpaconsulting@gmail.com, addressed to the person responsible for privacy.
Information collected and why
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, selected service, message and confirmation of the website terms and enquiry-processing consent. The submission also includes the page URL, the terms/notice version and a submission time. We use this information to respond, assess whether we can assist, discuss scope and fees, and keep a record of the enquiry and consent. Do not include another person’s personal information unless you are authorized to do so.
Hosting, security, form-processing and email providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser/device information, request times and security logs to operate their services and prevent misuse. Do not include confidential financial records in an enquiry.
Providers and processing locations
The form sends your information to FormSubmit, which forwards it to our Gmail contact inbox. Our website hosting and security providers also process information needed to deliver and protect the website. Read FormSubmit’s privacy information and Google’s privacy information for their practices.
These providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be accessible under local laws. We cannot promise that a web form or email transmission is risk-free. Use the enquiry form only for a brief, non-sensitive description of your needs.
Consent, choices and marketing
The form asks for consent to process and share the information with the providers needed to handle your enquiry. You may choose not to submit the form or may ask to withdraw consent for future processing, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. Without necessary information or consent, we may be unable to respond through this channel.
An enquiry is not a newsletter subscription or consent to unrelated marketing. We do not add form submitters to a marketing list through this form. If a newsletter or other optional marketing feature is introduced, it will need its own appropriate consent process.
Calculator inputs and browser information
The calculator performs its calculations in your browser. Its salary, province and deduction inputs are not sent to us through the calculator code and are not automatically copied into an enquiry. If you type those details into your message, they will be processed as part of that enquiry.
The website does not currently include an advertising or analytics tracking integration in its site code. Hosting, security and third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies for their functions. Browser settings may allow you to manage cookies; restricting them can affect service functionality.
Use, retention and disclosure
Enquiry information is used for the purposes described above, not sold through this website. Information may also need to be used or disclosed where required or permitted by law, including to address security incidents or protect legal rights. A professional engagement may require additional records and a separate retention approach.
Retention depends on the purpose of the record, whether an engagement follows, applicable professional or legal recordkeeping obligations and the resolution of requests or disputes. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion. Deletion is subject to lawful retention needs and the capabilities and policies of the relevant providers and backups; we cannot promise immediate erasure from every system.
Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask for correction, request deletion or withdrawal of consent, or raise a privacy concern using the contact above. We may need to verify your identity proportionately and may be unable to provide or delete information in circumstances permitted by law. Do not email sensitive identification before we agree on an appropriate verification method.
If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the applicable privacy regulator, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, where it has jurisdiction.
Notice updates
We will post changes to this notice with an updated effective date. If a material new use or disclosure requires additional consent, posting a notice alone will not substitute for obtaining that consent.
